This blog is an offshoot from the blog www.gpthinking.net. GPThinking, short of GeoPolitical Thinking, is a blog that focuses on addressing subjects in the world of foreign policy. However, as editor of GPThinking, I am frequently disappointed with the lack of academic honesty in the national debate across all academic fields. Sometimes I read items in print or hear statements that are supposedly part of the dialogue that exist for one of two reasons: (1) the comment or opinion is from an ill-informed source, or (2) the comment is made disingenuously. At those moments, I want to speak up to keep the dialogue honest. However, GPThinking is not the place for such personal commentary. Hopefully Academically Honest can serve that purpose.
